About us

A small, calm clinic for one specific job: getting your pet to China.

EHC Express China is a single-purpose practice tucked into a quiet courtyard off High Holborn. We don't do grooming, we don't do vaccines, we don't sell food. We issue Export Health Certificates for dogs and cats travelling from the UK to mainland China — properly, calmly, and on time for your flight.

Why a dedicated EHC 8902 clinic?

Every dog or cat leaving Great Britain for mainland China needs an Export Health Certificate (EHC 8902), signed by a vet with Official Veterinarian (OV) status and authorised by DEFRA. General practices can issue them, but it often means a long appointment squeezed between routine consults — and a rejected certificate at GACC customs if anything is wrong.

We see one type of appointment all day, every day: UK → China pet export. That focus is why our paperwork sails through Chinese customs at Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and the other approved ports of entry.

Our veterinarians

Our lead OV is RCVS-registered (MRCVS) and DEFRA-authorised to sign EHC 8902. Every certificate we issue is double-checked against the latest GACC requirements — microchip readable, rabies vaccination in date, owner and traveller passport details matching, issue window respected — before you leave the building.

Planning to return to the UK?

If your pet will come back to Great Britain from China, we strongly recommend taking the rabies antibody blood sample (RNATT) before you leave the UK. Done here, the sample counts as taken in a listed country and skips the mandatory 3-month wait that otherwise applies to returns from China. We can arrange this in the same appointment.

Where we are

7–8 Little Turnstile is a pedestrian alleyway off High Holborn, two minutes from Holborn Underground (Central & Piccadilly lines). It's a quiet spot — useful for nervous dogs and cats who'd rather not wait on a busy high street.
